anti-CD9 FITC Conjugate

Human CD9 is strongly expressed on platelets, on early B cells and on activated T cells.  CD9 is a member of the tetraspan family crossing the membrane four times (2).  Both the N-terminal and C-terminal regions are on the cytoplasmic side of the plasma membrane.  Recent studies indicate CD9 may be involved with calcium mobilization (3).

Isotype: Murine IgG1 kappa

Immunogen: Membrane antigen preparation of NALM-6 (human pre-B leukemia cell line)

Specificity: Antibody SN4 recognizes the Large Extracellular Domain (LED) (4) of human tetraspan CD9 molecule of about 24 kd (1).
