Decreased CD55 levels on T helper cells indicate increased severity of RA

This Chinese research team identified a link between CD55 downregulation on CD4+ T cells and aberrant T cell activation. This effect will likely prove to be useful to assess prognosis of Rheumatoid arthritis and other T cell driven autoimmune disorders.
