Thymulin peptide improves efficacy of Immunotherapy in aged mice

Thymulin levels in mice and humans decrease with age as levels of chronic myeloid inflammation
increase.
Compared to aged mice, levels of pro inflammatory cytokines IL-1a, IL-1b, IL-6 and TNFa and were decreased in bone marrow chimeric mice. This was also observed in old mice treated with Thymulin peptide. A similar effect was observed in human PBMC treated with thymulin peptide in vitro. Anti-Cancer immune response from PD-1 intervention in Tumor bearing aged mice was significantly improved when mice were supplemented with thymulin peptide.
