anti-CD94 Purified (Preservative-free)
Human CD94 expression is restricted to natural killer (NK) cells, NKT cells and a subset of CD8+ T lymphocytes. CD94 is a type II membrane glycoprotein of the c-type lectin superfamily and essentially lacks a cytoplasmic tail (4). CD94 forms a heterodimer with molecules of the NKG2 family which can recognize MHC Class Ib (HLA-E) antigen presenting molecules.
Isotype: Murine IgG1
Immunogen: Cultured human NK cells
Specificity: Antibody HP-3D9 recognizes the CD94 molecule of 70 kd (5). It has been reported to cross react with canine CD94.
Functional Application: Antibody HP-3D9 inhibits IL-2 dependent proliferation of NK cells. It can also affect NK-cell mediated lysis of P815 cells in vitro (7). HP-3D9 blocks binding of CD94/NKG2A, B and C heterodimers to HLA-E tetramer.
