anti-CD54 (D1) FITC Conjugate
Human CD54 (ICAM-1) mediates cell adhesion by binding to the integrins CD11a/CD18 (LFA-1) and to CD11b/CD18 (Mac-1). CD54 expression on resting peripheral blood leukocytes is weak but is upregulated on activated T and B lymphocytes and on monocytes.
Antibodies 15.2 and 8.4A6 (cat #206-020) each bind to a distinct epitope of CD54 and are suitable as a matched pair for EIA using 15.2 as capture and Biotinylated 8.4A6(cat# 206-030) as detector.
Isotype: Murine IgG1 kappa
Immunogen: Human monocytes
Specificity: Antibody 15.2 recognizes the D1 domain of the CD54 molecule of 90 kd (1, 2). It has been reported to be cross reactive with porcine CD54.
Functional Application: Antibody 15.2 inhibits CD54 binding to LFA-1.
