RGMb (Dragon) identified as a ligand for CD273(PD-L2, B7-DC)

By room34 / May 8, 2014

CD273 binds to a distinct site on RGMb (Repulsive Guidance Molecule Family member B) from Bone Morphogenic proteins (BMP).  In mice, blockade of this interaction impaired development of respiratory tolerance.

“RGMb is a novel binding partner for PD-L2 and its engagement with PD-L2 promotes respiratory tolerance”  Y Xiao, G J Freeman, et al. (2014) JEM 211(5): 943-959.
