BAFF(CD257) levels correlate with severity of Asthma

By room34 / February 20, 2015

BAFF levels in bronchoalveolar fluid are higher in allergic vs tolerant mice, and increase with repeated immunization. Blocking BAFF interactions may prove an effective therapeutic intervention for chronic respiratory diseases.

“Investigating the Role of BAFF in Murine Models of Allergic Asthma” A Lorenz, A Meyer-Bahlburg, et al. (2014) European Respiratory Journal 44(Suppl 58): 4213.
